From April 17 to 19, 2026, the 2026 China University Student Mechanical Engineering Innovation & Creativity Competition – Nondestructive Testing Innovation Practice and Application Contest (Western Division) successfully concluded in Deyang, Sichuan.Hosted by the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society and organized by the Nondestructive Testing Branch of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society and Sichuan Engineering Technical College, the event was strongly supported by Nantong UNION Digital Technology Development Co., Ltd. as its technical support and guarantee partner.With its high-performance equipment, professional expertise and industrial responsibility, Nantong UNION helped build a competitive, exchange and growth platform for students majoring in nondestructive testing.

    The regular competition of this Western Regional Contest covered 31 universities in central and western China, with as many as 1,000 participants registering for the event.Following the preliminary selection, 315 contestants from 23 universities gathered in Deyang, Sichuan Province for the final competition.Adhering to the educational philosophy of “Promoting Teaching, Learning and Practice through Competitions”, the contest featured three core disciplines:Ultrasonic Testing, Radiographic Testing and Penetrant Testing.It conducted a comprehensive assessment of the participants’ theoretical knowledge, practical operational skills and innovative thinking abilities.
