From April 24 to 26, 2026, the Nondestructive Testing Innovation, Practice and Application Competition (Northern Regional Tournament), part of the National College Students Mechanical Engineering Innovation and Creativity Contest hosted by the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, successfully concluded at Liaoning Mechatronics College.

Covering seven provinces and municipalities including Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning and Beijing, the northern regional competition gathered more than 400 contestants from over 30 colleges and universities to compete on the same stage, hitting a record high in the event’s participation scale in the northern region.
