From July 29 to 31, the 2026 Electric Power Industry Vocational Skills Competition (Non-Destructive Testing Inspector) & the 7th Suzhou Non-Destructive Testing Innovation Conference was successfully held in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. Nantong Youlian Digital Technology Development Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Nantong Youlian) served as the technical and equipment support provider for the NDT Inspector Skills Competition, offering solid support to ensure the successful running of the event.

      Hosted by China Electricity Council (CEC), undertaken by China General Nuclear Power Group (CGN), and co-organized by Suzhou Nuclear Power Research Institute Co., Ltd. and CGN Inspection Technology Co., Ltd., the competition gathered outstanding talents in electric power non-destructive testing. Yu Xuehao, Deputy Secretary-General of China Electricity Council, Lu Wenming, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Chairman of Suzhou Federation of Trade Unions, Huang Chao, Deputy Director of the Party & Mass Work Department (Trade Union Work Department) and Deputy Secretary of the Communist Youth League Committee of CGN, and other leaders attended the event to witness the elite contest among skilled NDT practitioners.

      As a strategic partner providing ultrasonic testing technologies and competition equipment, Nantong UNION set up a professional technical team and supplied high-quality competition instruments to guarantee the smooth progress of the competition, earning high recognition from the competition organizing committee and participating organizations.

      A total of 43 teams consisting of 129 frontline NDT specialists from more than ten central energy enterprises and provincial energy companies, including State Grid, China Southern Power Grid, China Huaneng, China Huadian, China Energy Investment Corporation, State Power Investment Corporation, PowerChina, China Energy Engineering Corporation and CGN, took part in the competition. Participants competed in both theoretical knowledge and practical operation skills. After fierce competition, the first, second and third prizes for teams and individuals were awarded. Team 1 of State Grid Shandong Electric Power, State Grid Jibei Electric Power Team, PowerChina Nuclear Engineering Team, CGN Suzhou Nuclear Power Research Institute Team and Team 1 of State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power won the First Class Team Award.

      Skills embody craftsmanship, and advanced instruments pave the way for long-term development. Going forward, Nantong UNION will keep advancing independent innovation in non-destructive testing technologies, develop ultrasonic NDT equipment featuring higher precision, intelligence and portability.
